I have a 2004 Sienna. Both right and left cables were freyed and hanging up so I cut them so that the doors would function. Provided the regulators and motors are still good, how much would it cost to replace each cable? Do you have instructions for removal or a schematic? You tube instructions would be great. I am very mechanically inclined and grew up in a body & fender shop.

Yes I do agree with you, and to make matters worse, replacing the cable from your local dealership requires you to purchase a whole new unit.

I got my cables for my 2008 Sienna replaced with Richard. He sent me a very detailed email, with a pdf file that detailed instructions on how to remove it. I removed it myself sent it in, and within 1 day he had a ups tracking number for me. I got my part back in 3 days and put it in myself! Its been only 3 weeks now, but its nice having my doors automtically open. And even better now that my wife stopped nagging me about the car…. I’ll update if there are any developments but I really really happy now that I didn’t get reamed by the dealership! Thx Again Richard!

I have a 2006 Sienna, and my passenger side motor and cable seem fine. But when I push the button, I don’t hear the big solenoid unlock the door like I hear on the driver side (which works fine). When I manually unlatch the door, either open or closed, the motor finishes the job. Is that solenoid replaceable without buying the whole drive unit? Do you have it? Do you have instructions on how I can get to it to replace it? Thanks.
We are in the process of procuring door latch actuator motors but at this time we do not even have the prototypes yet for testing. I would suggest that you contact your local dealership and order part number 85620-08061. It should only be around $105 new. It is not very difficult to replace. Refer to our videos on how to remove the inside door panels. Once removed you will see the actuator directly below the interior door handle. Its a little tricky removing the bolts as they are located behind the plate, but it should be easy enough to figure out how to access them. Just unplug, unbolt then swap out the units. As always disable the sliding door motors via the switch on the dashboard or disconnect the battery when working with electrical parts! Yes it is faily easy to replace on your own. I beleive the part is only about $105 new at the dealer. Just reference our video on how to remove the inside door panel, once removed you should see the motor a couple inces below the interior door handle. Unplug, unbolt and replace. As always its allways best to disconnect the battery before working on anything electrical on your car! Hopt this helps you!
